Others Who Were Involved – Or Not

TopicsRelated QuestionsAdditional Resources

People who have been through unwanted or abusive sexual experiences usually have lots of questions about the people who used or abused them. They also have questionsabout other people who had a role in what happened or how it affected them – including by not wanting to know what was happening, not attempting to stop it if they did know, or not helping them deal with the effects.

The questions about those people are not only about the past. They are about how to relate to – or deal with – them now. For example, you may be wondering: Should I confront the person who used me sexually? Should I tell other family members what happened?

This section of Answers is about those questions, and providing some information for finding understanding and answers that work for you. For now it has only two pages, but others will be added in 2010.
