In this section of 1in6.org we recommend books that we have carefully selected for visitors to this site. Every book is extremely high in quality, and has been found useful by many men with histories of unwanted or abusive sexual experiences in childhood, as well people who care about them.
The books are grouped into several categories, which are listed on the left navigation bar found on every page of this section.
After selecting a category, you'll see a list of recommended books that includes each book's cover, title and author(s), a brief description of the book, and a direct link to its page at Amazon.com (where you can read reviews or buy it).
For almost every book we recommend most highly, you can borrow it - for free - from 1in6.org. This borrowing option is a unique service offerered by 1in6. It's one we're committed to providing, especially for men who can't afford, or don't feel comfortable enough, to buy such books or to borrow them from a regular library.
Our inventory includes over 25 different titles, with a combined total of more than 175 copies available for loan. The borrowing options allows 'checking out' one book at a time (for delivery to an address of one's choosing). Once that item has been returned, another book can be borrowed.
